Ramsey's Winter Piano Recital

Ramsey had her first piano recital back in December.  She did wonderful!  I LOVE the music academy that she goes to.  It is a much different experience than the one I had with the lady from church when I was her age :)  Ramsey has to research and write a short composition on a different composer each week, as well as, has a music theory component to her lessons, etc.  If you are in the Charlotte area and looking for instrument or voice lessons, I would suggest Charlotte Academy of Music on Idlewild Road http://www.charlotteacademyofmusic.com/ .

PantherFest 5K

Yesterday, Saturday, August 8th, Ramsey and Bradey joined Michael and I at a run for the first time. They cheered us at the start and finish line of the 5K and then Michael and I cheered them on as they raced to the finish of the kids run. It was such a great time, sharing the experience together as a family. The girls loved it even though they had to wake up at 5:30 AM on a Saturday morning. They want me to sign them up for the kids run at the 5K that Michael and I are registered for on August 29th. Eventually, we will work towards the girls running the 5K with us and eventually I'm sure that they will be running it in a better time than us, well,at least me anyway :)

I wanted to share some photos from Bradey's Dance recital back in June. She did both a tap routine and a ballet routine. She wasn't nervous a bit walking out on the big stage. The recital is held at Oven's Auditorium in Charlotte and it holds almost 2500 people. Even though it wasn't completely full for the recital, it is still a big place :) We saw CATS on the same stage back in January so, now she can say that she has danced on the same stage as Gus, Grizabella, Rum Tum Tugger and the rest of the Jellicle Cats.

Toothless Wonder!

"All I want for Christmas is my

two front teeth!"

It's only July, but Ramsey's already working on her Christmas list and at the top...her two front teeth! She pulled the first one about 2 weeks ago and then pulled the other one out the other day. And I am not exaggerating when I say "pull"! I was a big baby when it came to pulling my teeth, you'd think that that last bit of hanging gum was a direct line to every nerve in my body the way that I would carry on. But not Ramsey, no she's a trooper. She'll work on it nonstop until she gets that lil' puppy out! She can't wait to put it under her pillow in the hopes that the Tooth Fairy will bring her another dollar and pack of gum!
